Divided RevOps and a course to merge them
US vs EU RevOps: The Atlantic Divide
I might need to move to the USA... but my European coffee addiction says otherwise.
The RevOps gap between the US and Europe isn't just real—it's a canyon. Despite Europe's larger population, America's tech dominance has created a RevOps paradise that makes EU practitioners drool.
The maturity gap is painfully obvious when I'm explaining—for the thousandth time—what RevOps actually is to European prospects. My US counterparts just get to skip straight to the good stuff.
Europe's "admin stigma" problem is killing the RevOps vibe:
Smaller budgets
Less strategic influence
Lower compensation
We're basically 3-4 years behind, running the same race with ankle weights.
The solution? I'm doubling down on strategic RevOps messaging until people either mute me or see the light. I refuse to let "CRM agencies" hijack the RevOps label just to slap it on tactical work.
I'd rather abandon ship completely than reduce RevOps to CRM administration. Thankfully, strategic RevOps is finally gaining traction in Europe, so I'll stick around... for now.
But RevOps in the US vs EU is not the online divide!
Commercial RevOps vs Financial Revenue Operations
Ever get caught in the RevOps identity crisis? Financial Revenue Ops and Commercial RevOps might sound like twins separated at birth, but they're actually distant cousins. One's obsessed with cash flow while the other's busy playing matchmaker between sales and marketing. Curious which one actually moves the needle for your business?
